let's sing some pumpkin carols....

Two little flat pumpkin pins made of painted fabric
and using a rolled fabric stem and a twig from the yard
 no doubt a bougainvillea clipping,
now i use repurposed chopsticks  parts,
stained a brown color for stems.

 made from halloween fabric
  mini pants
to dance in if you are a tiny dancer!
We had an etch and sketch feature on our first computer
so i made this greeting inspired by
Charlie Brown's  seasonal cartoon
where he searches for the most sincerely pumpkin in the patch.
As a vintage child, I like to watch each year.
the cat peeking over the top is mz Ivy.

Orange to mango and  sunny greens, colored fabric laying about
trimming left over  from a mango inspired quilt
a block of  which is shown above
now lives on in a pair of  stuffed pumpkin.
They become more dear
each year,
as my hands start to ache with too much holding, stitching, and stuffing
Must be time to get out the  unscented Bengay, Salonpas, or cbd salve
and go read a book!

happy time of pumpkins to you all
 and
try not  eat  all  the  candy  corn !
Be well, Sonja

sending an October sunset your way

Love your little brooches. And Halloween pants! I need some. Lovely post, and the sunset is magnificent. I can relate to over-using hands and needing to rest. I enjoy working with little things, and it can be a challenge. Happy Halloween!

oooo widdle pants! I know you love pumpkins... and yours are so soft and pretty. The colors of fall. Just yesterday on a walk, I said to dh the trees are golden and orange and glowing, if only they stayed that way! What a nuisance to have your hands hurting when your hands make such lovely items. Here's to all the candy corn in the world at your doorstep.

Thanks Nancy and LA for reading and kind comments left.Oh, I do have enough novelty halloween fabric from decades past that i could actually sew up pairs of happy dance pants and i would use elastic in the waistband just for good measure!!

Looks like you enjoy Halloween! Cute little pumpkins and lovely colors. That sunset picture is rather candy corn colored! I love the stuff too and so won't even look at it, let alone buy it. But if it is at a friends house I can't help but nibble on a few pieces.

Jan, i remember tormenting my college roommate by biting off the white tips of the candy corn and applying them to my canine teeth and uttering the phrase as i slowly turned towards her...
I want to bite your neck....
i try not to go down the candy isle but it also holds pet food in our little foodland market.....
