shower trees and QH painters

Autumn has  officially arrived on the calendar in the land of somewhat endless summer  with  some of shower trees in bloom .


Here is a 
part of my class from Quilt Hawaii  last Summer 
 with some of the class painting and some at show and tell. i always loose a few  to photo sessions at the end who are camera shy
 so if you are missing  that might be why.
thank you all again for showing up and painting with me the colors of the islands, you are all amazing women and made a  most wonderful day for me ! 
i will ad more  pictures and copy later .

Wow, everyone looks so happy -- must have been a great class.

I never realized shower trees bloom only in the fall -- I need to be looking around a little better. I know Jacaranda is in the spring. The shower trees are a favorite of mine and they come in such wonderful colors.

I saw lots of tulip trees on the way to Hilo but most of them looked like the blooms were about over. Are they a fall tree too?

Hope you're now fully recovered from the Woman's Expo!
