tsunami watch

"felt like winter" postcard by sonja

we had a really looong day today and the tsunami did not damage us .
just tested our readiness .
life indeed is fragile and we sometimes get to rearrange our priorities when
nature prevails.

and so today we hosted some dear long-time beach friends and took the day off to just be..
and happy to say my friend MEG M. in Japan was also spared...

my heart goes out to Chile and Haiti .
from sonja in a tiny spot in the pacific ocean

I was worried for ya'll yesterday. I listened to the beeeeg island police scanner all afternoon and got really homesick. Emergency services were more than well-prepared. Happily, all went well. Yay!
